lisamariewillbe 1 #1 September 28, 2006 0 - 1 - 2 Found a little piece of heaven tucked away about 30 miles from Austin. Capitol Skydiving center. Its a cessena 206 DZ, and well I wasnt going to jump alot, I just wanted one jump. What I found upon arriving was a very nice DZ. Indoor air conditioned packing area, 3 inch foam under the carpeting. One of the biggest most open, obstacle free landing areas I have ever seen and some really awesome people. IMGR8 and I were going together. We sat until we were ready to jump, then we are off. We didnt have much of a dive plan cause im so used to floating that if I dive out I tend to never see them eye to eye again. Much to my excitment and at about 12 grand he takes rear float and I do the count..... I was shocked to find him there with me.... shocked even more so that even after 8 360s and grips he was still there.... even more excited when I turned around to pull.... I see this huge red sun with beautiful pink and purple clouds .... even more shocked when I realized that although Ill never have a home DZ per say that when I need that "at home" feel, I will be there... at Capitol skydiving center. Ive found two really great DZs a very short distence from me..... Thanks to those that were there, it was awesome. I had such a blast, Ill be making as many mid-week trips as possible... BTW All who are close to capitol skydiving in coupland.... this DZ opens according to when someone wants to jump. On the weekdays they will send just 2 people up.
