QuoteChocolate herbs??
![]()
tell me more, never heard of anything like that
Just googled and found reference to 'Mint Chocolate(Mentha x Piperita)'. That's the only thing I could find. Is that the latin name for what your friend has?

QuoteYou might also want to check the "fresh soil" you used to replant them. I have been unlucky enough to get a few infested batches.
Shit. I was afraid I might have to check that.

Quote***Spray the plants with soapy water. About 5 drops of dish soap per litre. Then rinse the plants with fresh water after a day or two.
Thank you! I'll try that! ***
If you can think of it, PM and let me know how this works out. I had exact same problem last year...I'm so proud of myself, only one plant died last winter. I've been known to be the Grim Reaper of plants!

I'll let you know! Hopefully, it works. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Okay, I did this a week ago and actually left the pots out on the deck since then (the weather's been nice!).
Sprayed them and then rinsed them about 3 days later.
They were on my covered deck and I kept checking for fruit flys and there weren't any.
Brought them back into the house today and so far so good! No fruit flys!!
THANK YOU COCHEESE!! I hated to think that I would have to get rid of these herbs and start all over again!
For anyone with the same problem, cocheese's suggestion appears to work!
If things change, I'll let you know.
