Richards 0 #1 October 2, 2006 Kind of funny yet disturbing. http://break.com/index/girl_gets_knocked_down_by_rifle.html What I can't help wondering is why the guy filming did not warn her since you can see it coming when you look at her stance. I wonder if the guy just let it happen to get a laugh at her. BillyVance 35 #2 October 2, 2006 Some friends and I, including the 5'-0" 110 lb female DZO, were doing some fun target shooting with a variety of guns at the DZ on a cloudy day. We were taking turns with a shotgun, not sure exactly what kind, but it had a helluva kick. We were in the woods... Anyway, the DZO was the last one to try shooting it, I had a feeling that I knew what was going to happen when she shot it and I stood about 3 feet behind her. BLAM!!! She comes flying back right into my arms and I caught her. We all were laughing our asses off... twibbles 0 #3 October 2, 2006 I don't know about you, but someone keeping on firing a shotgun while falling over scares me, so many things could have gone wrong. Yup, definately disturbing. Peej 0 #4 October 2, 2006 Geez, look at her body position before she even pulled the trigger, she didn't have a chance of staying on her feet, somebody should have corrected that! Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky

SkydiveStMarys 0 #6 October 2, 2006 I remember the first time I shot rifle. I was warned about the kickback and was told how to stand. I was able to hold my stance but got a HUGE bruise on my shoulder/upper arm. BUT it was so worth it!!BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude. I was able to hit the bullseye but got a huge welt on my left forearm. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Next time, hold it tighter to your shoulder (not arm) and you shouldn't get a bruise. I hate ass-hat guys that give big guns to little women with no proper instruction. I guess it makes them feel cooool to scare/bruise/humiliate the women. Vskydiver and I taught all of our kids, including 3 daughters, how to shoot properly and safely. I think gun safety is something every kid should know. I laugh when guys who don't my wife well hand her some firearm, expecting her to screw up or get scared. She usually outshoots the guy . . . SkydiveStMarys 0 #14 October 2, 2006 Oooh they did tell me to hold on tight and where to position on my shoulder, but I just wasn't expecting it, you know? I'm not small in height but I am small when it comes to weight.... This was a big double barrelled shot gun..it was way cool! BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. I love that.I don't know why but it's fun and brings out my side when on rare occasion we decide to play pool, and a couple of guys will want to play. Billy will ask if they want to play doubles (me & Billy against them). He laughs when I clean the table. My father was a bachelor for a few years and bought a pool table among other things for a party room. I played him a lot growing up (and he's quite good). There's this one pretty nice beach front club where I can get all the balls I want at an hourly rate.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
