ladyskydiver 0 #2 October 3, 2006 Errr...high school came easy for me. I was the salutatorian. Missed being the valedictorian by 0.01 points. Haven't paid attention to my college GPA. Loved the sciences, and math was fantastic....unfortunatly that didn't stay fantastic once i had to take Diff. Equations... pirana 0 #4 October 3, 2006 At first, top notch grades with very little effort. Then I discovered cars, women & partying. From that point on settled for balance between average grades and real life experience. Served me well, though I sometimes think those 6 years off between high school and college could have been a bit more productive. SkydiveStMarys 0 #9 October 3, 2006 I was alittle of everything....played sports...ran (distance/sprints)track, field hockey, lacrosse. Played in the band first year of HS (drums), took alot of Graphic Arts/Photography classes and then it all went to shit the end of junior and all of my senior year, struggled to play/stay in sports, I was a toker and skipped alot of school. I had two teachers that looked out for me and a security guard that was DA BOMB! When handed my diploma, at graduation, I could have sworn there was a sigh of relief from the facilty section. PLFXpert 0 #10 October 3, 2006 Straight As, occasionally a B, awesome off-campus luncher, involved in all the extra-curriculars, art, photography, piano, & two sports. That was high school. College was pretty much the same grade-wise, but lunch turned to soup, only played sports in the gym for fun w/ friends, quit painting (which I later took up again) & playing piano, and became even more excellent in the extra-curricular department. My best subjects were always English Literature & Math; go figure.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

PLFXpert 0 #12 October 3, 2006 Hey, I was no victorian. Seriously; compared to my friends I was the royal black sheep. But, I once made cool posters for the "Gator Gallop" at UF which my best friend organized among many, many other activities she coordinated. It was always: "Hey, Care! You want to help do this, that, and then this and it will only take X hours/day for this long and will be SO awesome?" "Ummm, will it interfere with my lounging by the pool time?" "Well, yes, but it will be really fun & you'll end up with this amazing product that you helped create & organize." "But, I feel like going for a swim." "OK. Fine! Will you at least make a few posters then?" Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

skymama 37 #14 October 3, 2006 I was a complete and total goody-goody, all I did was compete in swimming and study hard. I didn't drink, never took any drugs, and didn't have sex. I graduated something like 16th in my class of about 700 and got scholarships for swimming that paid for college. I'm glad I'm skydiving now, I'm finally getting a chance to live my childhood! PLFXpert 0 #15 October 3, 2006 Sounds like me except the "no drinking" part. In fact I was pretty plastered every weekend through my junior & senior years of high school. But I've always known how to separate work & play and it never affected my grades or my virgin morals. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. d_squared431 0 #17 October 3, 2006 I loved HS. I played 3 -4 different sports every year and I was the cool girl jock that people wanted to hang out with. I think my GPA was around 2.8-3.0 and I never was in class. I drove a Camaro z28 and and sat at the cool table at lunch that is if I stayed at school for lunch... popsjumper 2 #19 October 3, 2006 HS was party time. Screw classes, screw grades...party, party, party although I did enjoy mathmatics of all sorts. I was very good at taking tests so I'd just show up on test days, make the A and go back to partying. Of course the final grades involve much more than just the tests so my GPA was very low...they were happy to see me leave. College was the complete opposite. 3.96 GPA. Funny how things change when YOU are paying for it, eh? My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. BillyVance 35 #20 October 3, 2006 Quote College was the complete opposite. 3.96 GPA. Funny how things change when YOU are paying for it, eh? Yep, sure is! Been there! I wasn't the best high school student but I tried my best. Just had to work extra hard to keep up due to the hearing disability. Lasted 1 1/2 years in a college prep private school (parents thought smaller classes would help me) but that shit was just too hard, so I transferred to the public high school. Ran cross country and track and got to be part of a CC team that was state champions for 3 years. Classes.... hmmm think I did best in history and English. Of course, there was that history class with one teacher that I could not understand one goddamn lick of his accent so I asked for a transfer to another history class with a different teacher. Thank God... There I was able to get an A. The one class that I really had a hard time keeping up with was English Literature which was taught by the son of a German Rocket Scientist who came over with Wernher Von Braun, so he was tough to understand. There were no other alternatives, so I brought a tape recorder to tape his classes and have mom transcribe the notes. I barely survived that class, but it was well worth it."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
LisaM 0 #21 October 3, 2006 Chemistry. I loved the math it involved. That and any math. And my final year of HS, I took "Computer Math" which was Basic Programming. My brainiac friends (I was too just not as much as them ) could not figure this out to save thein lives. Now I do soduku's in my spare time. Oh that an my son's math...
