kenneth21441 0 #1 October 5, 2006 Well the insurance stuff is not working out so much like I wished it would at times. So I am going to keep trying and trying to find my market place in the great state of Michigan. With this I am working on setting up a LLC corp here and bring it all under one roof. My rigging business can only take me so far until I test for the Master Lic. and in Michigan that does not keep you going unless the snow and/ or winter do not arrive. yeah right. So I have set up another areas that will permit me additional sources of funding for my family. Selling items on the internet. How sure am I will it work.... Dont know for now but will be marketing the hell out of it........... here in the next few days..... Plus I will be selling small items at fairs and flea markets...it is a nice deal and I love it where I can get gifts for family and friends really cheap..that is a small bonus.. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
kenneth21441 0 #3 October 5, 2006 Just venting some as I had tried this and that and seems like nothing is working but I am still trying to keep going that is. While the insurance stuff is hard, in fact you dont sell you dont eat and that is hard wehn you have four others to think about each and every day then to have to try to set up appointments. I keep hearing that its hard the first year and while its been only what three months. It seems I need to try to go more then what I am doing that is one thing. As we all must know and that I am now working on several other areas to hope to keep going , so that one will pull me through and be a sucess. thats my venting outlet toKenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
AggieDave 6 #4 October 5, 2006 Its hard more then your first year. My dad has become very successful in the insurance biz, but he makes literally EVERY Rotary Club, Lion's Club, church fundraiser dinner, Boy and Girls Club pancake breakfast...well, basically everytime I call home he has either just arrived from somewhere, si about to go somewhere or both. When he's not doing all of those things, he's with clients. The first couple of years it seemed like all he did was all of those organizations and no insurance; however, now that he literally knows every damned person in the surrounding 3 counties as well as his own county, he doesn't advertise or even have to try too hard. Business comes to him every single day. He's an incredibly busy man due to people calling him for insurance all the time, but then again, if he actually fully retired he'd go crazy then probably die of being bored. Or he'd get some sort of superproject started around the house and die under a load of shingles and bricks after falling off the roof.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
