Whats In A Name

Recommended Posts

Right....

So I've started working for myself. For several reason (mainly to hide tax from the govt.) I can increase my wages by about 15% by registering as a Ltd company and getting paid through that.

Also my personal e-mail while fun is not the best for professional use (mainly becuase the website attached to it has photos of me and some makes arsing about & some NSFW jokes on there).

Which of the above do you think would be the best name for said company (will also form my e-mail in the form of e.g. richard@pandalogix.tld). As with the Internet most of the decent names are taken.

The company (well me) will be designing warehouses in and around europe (first one in the Czech Republic) so the logis is meant to be short for logistics.

If you have any other good ideas I'd like to hear them.

My fav is Blue Logis or Panda Logix as they are short.

I guess those names are alright, maybe put an option for "other" and see what people say. To me the name of the company should mean something. Random words in the name kinda tell me not much thought went into it. So you design warehouses, what does a Panda have to do with it? Are your warehouses cute and cuddly? Are your warehouses so rare that they might be snatched up and bread? Maybe have a name that says something about your buildings. Logistics is cool though. Congrats on starting your own company and I hope it does well for you :)

Oh if you are going to use an animal use something that describes your buildings:
Bull Logistics
Gorilla Logistics

Maybe you design rock solid buildings:
Rugged Logistics
Firm Logistics
PowerHouse Logistics
Able Logistics
Solid Logistics
Stable Logistics

Maybe that means that neither name is very good.[:/]

I don't care for either one of them. I mean Panda?? Are you working with animals too??

Bobbi

I know, I need something short, easy to remember and more importantly free as a web address. Unfortunatly alot of "good" names are in use becuase they are...well good :(

Its unlikley the name will ever be used for marketing as I am doing contract work so its not too important but coming up with some random combinations was the best that I could do..

I'll take some of the suggestions above and come back with some new ideas.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Apex is a management buzz word (hopefully it will make people swoon :| ) and solution design is what I will be doing... :D

41 views, 7 votes....does that mean I need some options with boobies in them B|

Boobie Logis...sounds great.

Seriously, I liked all the names (Except Panda Logix, that sounds more tech oriented), they would serve you well enough I think. A good logo will add a more memorable experience to your clients. ;)
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

Thanks. ;)

Ok, back to your question, I was thinking like a european & thought it would have to have a reference to the flag.

Heres what it says about it:

Quote

The Council of Europe was considering what symbol to adopt for its own use. After much discussion, the present design was adopted - a circle of twelve gold stars on a blue background. In various traditions, twelve is a symbolic number representing perfection. It is also, of course, the number of months in a year and the number of hours shown on a clock face. The circle is, among other things, a symbol of unity. So the European flag was born, representing the ideal of unity among the peoples of Europe.

So my suggestion is something to do with twelve stars.

After googling it, it looks like nothing is currently called 12 or twelve star logistics.

Good luck by the way. ;)

I'm fucking winning
