Lindsey 0 #1 October 10, 2006 I was thinking, driving home today, about the Slave Auctions our church youth group used to put on when I was a kid. We kids were the slaves, of course, and we were auctioned off to people in town for one weekend of labor. We had our slave auction every year. One year I painted Sara Beth Mays' baby room. Sara Beth is grown now with her own kids. I picked a lot of peas. I washed a bunch of cars and mowed several folks' lawns. And we raised a lot of money for one cause or another. I started laughing thinking about it....seems kinda bold. So you think folks would raise a stink if we held a slave auction nowadays? linz-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged.
