Well once the proverbial cow is purchased, the milk is still free in certain purchase arrangements. it just that now the process involved is getting the cow to the milking machine is less of a hassle. Sometimes you can even get away with milking with out dinner, or a movie.

In hindsight: a lease with purchase option may be your best bet. You get to keep the cow, take the cow home, essentially its your cow, but if the cow just doesnt work out in a couple years, trade said cow in on a new one. In this case though, you must be careful as to put to many miles on the cow or you could be penalized.
