RkyMtnHigh 0 #8 October 10, 2006 I've ordered Maryland crab when I lived in Colorado for a Steamer Party and they shipped it overnight with the mallets and all Delicious! _________________________________________
TheAnvil 0 #9 October 10, 2006 I cooked for my friend tonight. Very nice dinner date. We're FRIENDS, but she said that if I cooked like this more often, she'd marry me. Hehehehehe. What a disaster that would be. Dear God this Herradura complements Patron sometimes. I mean just sip one and then sip the other, and the contrast just jumps out at you. Anyway, we had steamed asparagus spears in proscuittio for an appetizer, crab legs with garlic butter, baked potatos, and ginger brocolli for dinner with double strawberry baked alaska for dessert. I wish I hadn't had to drive so I could have enjoyed the wines, but oh well. They tasted good. I really want to go Christmas carolling, but figure I had better drink some agua and go to bed. I usually read alot of the bonfire threads but never have much to add since i'm so new and not in "the loop", however, i live in Utah....crab legs (alaskan king or colder only) are my FAVORITE!! I have paid as much $17 a pound, the average is around $12 but never the less expensive....anyway, on top of that, I LOVE tequilla, I'm a bartender and I've had my fair share of taste testing and just some good quality tequilla does the trick! Anyway, you pushed some sensory gland buttons with this post and I really appreciate it! I'm going to market st. tomorrow for some top notch crab legs and shrimp cocktail, chased down with some Patron Silver! I'm not sure if TheAnvil is a male or female but I love your tastebuds!!! Cheers
BGill 0 #16 October 10, 2006 being from MD, i have to say that you're missing out on most of the good stuff. you gotta eat the whole crab, not just the legs! and to RkyMtnHigh: damn right you gotta put Old Bay on them. mmmmmmm.... crabs.... mmmmmm........ SpeedRacer 1 #17 October 10, 2006 Vinny is probably talking about snow crabs, from Alaska. I think you just eat the legs on those. The Blue crabs we've got in Maryland & North Carolina etc. are totally different. TheAnvil 0 #24 October 10, 2006 It doesn't HAVE to contain tequila to be good... I'm still in North America. Won't be in Bahrain until mid-Dec, though I'll be leaving work here in Jax for the last time on 20 Oct. Looking forward to my next visit to TheHills, mi amigo!
