How fast can you nap?

I can actually sleep & enter a dream state for 10 minutes & wake up naturally & feel refreshed.

That said, I still sleep a normal amount at night, I'm just talking about quick naps during the day.

My sister-in-law from Australia used to call them "disco naps", which is a nap you'd take after work so that you could go to the discoteque that evening without crashing.

Ditto here. If I don't close the deal by giving an extended sleep, I suffer from what I would call the mental and full body equivalent of blue balls. Getting started without closing the deal? Yeah, I hurt the rest of the day for it.

There are about 5 stages of sleeping that cycle 4 to 5 times during a normal night's rest. the last 2 are deep sleep. if you get into deep sleep during the nap but don't complete that cycle, your brain is screwed the rest of the day.

sleep less than 45min or more than 4 hours as a guideline..

for hardcore lucid dreaming the snooze button is your friend if it can be set to 20+ min...

ive spend/lived what i perceived to be years IN a continual dream state.. all between 5 and 9 am on a single morning...

no only until you can complete a full cycle... doesnt have to be all day if you can go back to bed...

If I stay in a light sleep, I am ok. If I fall deep, then I have a headache til I go to bed for real. I can force a light sleep by telling myself I have to be up by a certain time, I will check the clock every 5-10 minutes and stay in a fairly light sleep.
