LisaM 0 #26 October 10, 2006 QuoteActually, my personal goal is to run in a 'real' 5k race and cross the finish line without ever having walked. (that's my running goal...but I want to start using running to lose some weight, too.) That is a cool goal. I might like to try that. My immediate goal is to be able to run a comfortable pace and do it well enough that I want to do it again! ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?

chaoskitty 0 #29 October 10, 2006 QuoteAre you listening to music? What is it you don't like about it? Yeah I'm listening to the podcasts for week1. Its the running part that I dont like. I'm just not built for running.. but I'm doing it anyway.
LisaM 0 #30 October 10, 2006 If you are miserable, find something else. You can't force yourself to like it. I don't like it, I like how it makes me feel. It makes me feel great and healthy. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
chaoskitty 0 #31 October 10, 2006 Oh I'm not miserable at all... its just not fun like other activities. But I've already started it so I will stick with it. Maybe I'll like it soon.

And a lil' Nike shirt! and the matching track jacket! And the sports bra that goes with the color theme! And some running pants to go with! It will make running MUCH better! Or at least you can look cool while sippin' your highly oxygenated water...~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. McBeth 0 #34 October 11, 2006 Well I did the Week 1 run last Friday and again today, it's hard squeezing it in around my step classes and my yoga classes, but I'm really feeling like I'm getting in much better shape. I am starting week #3 tonight so I will do tonight and tomorrow night and then a day off. I can handle 2 in a row but not 3. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
