ACMESkydiver 0 #1 October 10, 2006 WOO-HOO!!! Check out my HOT new Nike's!!! Bought them for half price at the Nike Employee store yesterday... Check out pic 3. See that little button thing in there? It's a place holder for a 'Nano button' that you can buy...yeah, this little button tells your I-Pod how many steps you've taken, your pace count, distance, caolries burned, like holy sh*t, dudes!!! Hi-tech running!!! That's what the lil' plus sign after the Nike 'Swoosh' means, apparently...that your running gear can talk to your I-Pod. Too bad I don't have an I-Pod. They fit AWESOME!! Ok last week I got 2 runs in on week 1 running schedule. I couldn't get the 3rd in due to illness. How about all of you? ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. Lindercles 0 #4 October 10, 2006 Nice choos mane! I just got back from my run, and I was just about to post this thread, but you beat me to it. Today is the first day of week three, but like many others I redid week one last week, so I started week 2 today. Like Kelel01 said earlier, the increments are longer, but there's less of them! It was a lot easier than I expected actually. So last I checked the list looked something like this: LisaM ACMESkydiver Lindercles Ntrprnr Kelel01 -and Mailin when she can start McBeth Kelpdiver legorowbot thestepchild SkydiveStMarys chaoskitty Gawain There are a lot of people on this list we haven't heard from. Come on guys, where you at?!

murrays 0 #7 October 10, 2006 QuoteWOO-HOO!!! Check out my HOT new Nike's!!! Too bad I don't have an I-Pod. Right now you can buya refurbished 2gb nano for $99 at the Apple Store Add the Nike+iPod sensor thingie for $29 and you will be in business. You have to use a Nano...it won't work with anything else. I bought one of these for my wife I, of course, had to test it out and it works great. If she doesn't use it it would be a shame to let it go to waste My back is nearly good enough...I should be able to start this week.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
legorowbot 0 #8 October 10, 2006 I did week 2, run 1 today. Finished week 1 on Saturday The longer intervals kicked my ass a little bit, but I made it. I'm actually starting to look forward to the running... I never thought I'd hear myself say that. Why does it say "Append signature to post" when I don't have a signature? I've run the River Run in Jacksonville-15k - the last two years. Last year I did it in 1:13:30. I started training for next year at the beginning of Sept. I'm doing 4-5 miles every other day. TheAnvil 0 #14 October 10, 2006 I am sitting here with a bottle of Patron. And a bottle of Herradura, in case the Patron bottle gets lonely and wants to talk. Neither bottle will sing with me, howver, but I don't know the words to Jingle BNells in Spanish anyway. I ran 3 miles today after I worked out. Where does that put me? I'm in for the DZ.com runner's club. Are we going to do TNT or something like that and all run a marathon together? Lindercles 0 #17 October 10, 2006 One unexpected result of running: it's cured both my caffeine addiction and my insomnia. I actually have energy during the day, all day long, and then at night I'm actually tired from the day. It used to be vice versa. And on running days I actually look forward to the evening so I can run. Bizarre.
