jstntym21 0 #1 April 1, 2007 Been jumping my Viso with the Square 1 instrument glove, but now that the weather is warming up I'm looking for a wrist mount. L and B does not seem to be offering one. At least not a decent one. The unit came with a strap and some ties, but I would like something more secure. Anyone have any ideas about a substitute or a good way to make one? Thanks in advance!http://www.myspace.com/jump_land_pack_repeat Blue Skies @TurT!e@
kingbunky 3 #2 April 1, 2007 i bought a Protektor to go with mine. i found it hard to see the display through though, so on the advice of another jumper, i cut out the rubber bit over the display. the screen is protected with a sheet of that stuff you get for pda and cell phone screens. works great! the Protektor securely attaches to the wrist strap and even with the cut-out mod i made, i don't think it could fall out."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." jstntym21 0 #3 April 1, 2007 I have the Protecktor also. My friend used his to attach his Solo to his helmet and the ties ripped through the holes. It didn't last that many jumps before another jumper noticed his Solo hanging off in the plane. Thanks king!http://www.myspace.com/jump_land_pack_repeat Blue Skies @TurT!e@
NWPoul 1 #4 April 2, 2007 Here some cool mount for Neptune/VISO It's made by one of local skydiving gear manufacturer, but I think you can make it yourself or ask somebody who familiar with sewing machine:) Also I thought (before I bought this tool) for mounting protector this manner (i.e. on forearm, using round rubber cord, routed trough the protertor's holes) P.S. On pics VISO faced outward for better view, for jump we wear it closer to the elbow and on the inner side of forearm. Why drink and drive, if you can smoke and fly? kingbunky 3 #5 April 2, 2007 now that i see that, i remember that our skydive university coach (Pete Allum) had something similar built into the sleeve of his jumpsuit for his neptune. no straps, no buckles, nothing to come loose or snag. very neat."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart."
