Michele 1 #3 October 15, 2006 My Dad is in sport fan heaven. He has been rooting for the Tigers since he was about 14 (1930's...); never thought they'd go all the way, he just loves the underdog. So you can imagine how excited he is. And right after the World Series, he's running off to Europe for 10 days for his 84th birthday. So yeah, Pops is pretty damned excited about things right now. And that's a good, good thing. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
sundevil777 102 #4 October 15, 2006 Being a Mariners fan, I don't have much sympathy for Tigers fans. They won it all in '84, right? I think it was almost 20 years before the Mariners had their first winning season. I am pulling for Detroit. Having neither team from California or New York in the series will make it even better (Don't want Yankees fans to be able to take any pleasure from the Mets). Pro sports are good because it allows you to hate another group of people, and it is OK. That is the problem in the Middle East, they don't have enough sporting events to occupy their natural human instinct to hate. People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
jceman 1 #5 October 15, 2006 ibad Go Tigers. (and go Cardinals!) Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
