Need to whinge.

Recommended Posts

I just need to whinge a little bit.

This weekend I am particularly fed up with having an injury!!! It's getting really frustrating because every week the weather is getting crappier and crappier and pretty soon it will be full blown Seattle winter. The relentless rain will probably start at just about the time that my knee is healed enough to start doing fun activities.

If my knee wasn't still so swollen I would probably go hiking in my immobilizing brace today, that is how desperate I am.

Oh.. and also.. I am completely broke and need to start taking out loans to pay for things now because I can't pack anymore.[:/]

Just needed to vent.

I've been there too and know how the depression can get ya. Just keep reminding yourself it could always be worse. I know it doesn't really help, but after a while you start to put things into perspective. When it's all over and you're back to doing the things you love, you'll find you love them even more when you think about how shitty it is without em.

So have a drink, make a booty call, then vent all you need on here. We're all here for ya. And call up your friends to get their asses over and entertain you if they're not already. Then be sure when they're in that boat, you do the same ;)

Heal quick and good vibes to ya kiddo.

Well I took your advice and am drinking a beer and I feel much better!:P Also having a beer to celebrate the end of my procrastination on a paper.

I think one problem today was we've had fog all day long here and I think the weather that moved in might have made my knee flare up.

Is that really true that weather affects your joints?

My wife has rheumatoid arthritis. Weather DOES affect her joints. Also, when I tore the ligaments in my elbow, weather affected that more than I care to admit as well. [:/]

Seems to affect mine. Had surgery on my knee 21 years ago and when the weather changes, it bothers me.

I can almost tell when we have weather moving in.

Or maybe I'm just crazy. Who knows.

My advice - drink more beer.

Nice. I am STILL procrastinating on a paper (was due wednesday), and am drinking while watching hockey night in canada :P

And ya weather still, when it's low pressure, makes my ankle feel all fucked. And my mom has rheumatoid arthritis and finds the same thing. So not only do you not get sunshine to cheer you up, but you have to deal with swelling and pain n shit. Welcome to the broken people club! The solution, you're doing it... BEER! ;)

A weather indicator for life those injuries seem to be.
Stay healthy for a faster healing time. Do something you haven't done in a while because of all those skydives. Oh i can't even think about messed up knees.. makes me squirm. eeewwww.

Cheers on a Sat. night.B|

I always thought that was just a myth too..

But My knee has swollen up each time weather has moved in and I've lost about 30 degrees range of motion each time too.

Still.. I would like to see a clinical study on it.

Well, I've told myself for 5 years now that the weather doesn't affect my rheumatoid arthritis. But I after living my own 'clinical study' ;) I am finally willing to concede that perhaps it does. The temp is dropping, and my hands are becoming freaking useless.>:(

And put me in a warm climate on a beach, and I can play day and night with no flare ups.

Kinda sucks when your job is to heal others with your hands.:S

Sorry, I think I'm the one whining now!
