jdthomas 0 #1 October 16, 2006 With winter fast approaching I have begun work on a "rock" climbing wall in my garage. I have very little space to work with, but it will be something to do when I am bored and stuck in the house. Joewww.greenboxphotography.com

steveorino 7 #3 October 16, 2006 I did that years ago. I even put holds on the ceiling. Then I fixed a 15' wall in an old barn on the church property, complete with a large over hang, angled crack climb and a big old knobby bulge over a large door. Lots of fun! steveOrino
jdthomas 0 #4 October 16, 2006 someday when we get out of the city and into a farm house I will build a large wall in the barn. Steve do you have pictuers or suggestions for setting routes? and this spring a group of jumpers/climbers are going to be going to sams throne Arkansas for a weekend of climbing, you should come over! jeiber 0 #5 October 16, 2006 Now THAT"S awesome!!! Damn I'm jealous... I'm trying to think of how to put one of those up in my house now... Unfortunately the garage is already full of toys, and I don't have a fence to keep the neighborhood crum snatchers from playing on it... So damn jealous....Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
woodpecker 0 #6 October 16, 2006 Your missing features....... But like you said, something to do over the winter. At least you can get som decent work and it is in your garage. Nice little wall none the less.SONIC WOODY #146 There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence -- which side of the line are you on?
jdthomas 0 #7 October 16, 2006 My wall is a work in progress, In the morning i will be at the home depot for more wood to add to the project. I have built it to take outside as well. in my back yard I have sunk in 4x4's and have nut and bolts that hold the wall into place on the 4x4's. the wall is heavy and I have taken skateboard wheels and trucks and attached them to the bottom of the wall to wheel the wall into my yard with ease. the next two sections i add to it will also be modular so i can chnage them around as well. I have a book on plans here if you want I can copy some pages and mail it to you. Joewww.greenboxphotography.com
