BillyVance 35 #1 October 17, 2006 Anybody watch this new game show? It's fun! Gotta love all them hot models. Well guess what? You can play the same game online. Sorry, no real money given out... http://www.nbc.com/Deal_or_No_Deal/game/flash.shtml My best score is $750,000 which is the suitcase I was holding from the beginning. Hell, I even scored $1 once... Conundrum 1 #6 October 17, 2006 My fiances brother is an actor and was called and asked to be on the show (which he turned down). Supposedly they pay $600 a day to be on it, and no one gets to keep any money that's "won".

Conundrum 1 #8 October 17, 2006 Guess not, but who knows. Sometimes there are things that happen that make me think that maybe only some of them are actors and some are real..... but some things just seem, rigged. *shrug* 1 vs. 100 is pretty cool, though. boinky 0 #9 October 17, 2006 I personally thought it was one of the stupidest shows I've ever watched. There's no real intelligence to it. Complete luck. And yeah...it's great for guys who want to stare at hot chicks in skimpy dresses. But other than that? I'd rather go watch wet paint dry. jumpjunkie2004 0 #11 October 17, 2006 I watched this show with my kids. They really liked it. However, I'm siding with Nina on this one. It really didn't have much to offer me.Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...
Icon134 0 #12 October 17, 2006 I'll side with you and boinky... I think the show is pretty stupid and wouldn't be suprised if the people were actors... though I've only watched it like once and it reminded me of watching a train wreck... horrible yet couldn't manage to convince myself to look away... shropshire 0 #14 October 17, 2006 This Endemol program (we get it here too) is [IMHO] typical dumb-down T.V and required no mental acuity to watch.... just more drivel to fill the air waves. . jimmytavino 16 #17 October 17, 2006 not sure if it's real or fake..... but it does give some insight into how GREEDY and Gullible some people can be... The odds of "having the one million " in YOUR case..... is 1 chance in 26.....right??? To my way of thinking... those odds don't really change as the game progresses.... .....so when Howie,,, ( whom I really Really Like !!! ) is saying.... "you have a One in Four chance of having a million"... I don't follow the reasoning... it's just statistical mumbo-jumbo..... It takes guts to keep going,,,, at the point where the big numbers start getting knocked out,, and the chance for the "bankers Offer" starts to Drop........ good insight into people's thinking,,, and into the thinking of their friends and family... as for the ladies............ ok I guess,,,, but really very secondary to my viewing...They are sorta xerox copies of one another.... and add little to the show.... The hottest one of all is sitting on the sofa next to ME watching all this silliness,,, ( my wife) ..... and reminding me from time to time,, "There MUST be something ELSE on TV...j t

True. Im just so tired of all these crappy shows, and the fact that the majority of tv and movies havent had an original thought in the last decade. I'm sure much of what they do today is staged to a given point. As far as that show. We knew who the contestant was going to be, that she had a farm, etc. Thus, sticking a tractor in the mix. (oh wait... tv hasn't been around for a century yet has it... ) and no I'm not being entirely serious... of course most people couldn't handle originality on TV... BillyVance 35 #22 October 17, 2006 I got to agree that this game is based purely on luck. It's a crapshoot, basically. My favorite game is actually Millionaire. You do have to be sort of like Cliff Clavin from Cheers to be able to answer those later questions, but it does take some good knowledge to make it far. Even then, I'm pretty sure that some of the questions are tailored to each individual contestant's background or knowledge. I've played that game online too, and the best I could get was $25,000."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

It is luck to pick the cases but then you ahve to calculate the odds at getting more money. It is the closest tv "Game" to gambling that I have seen on TV of late. It is not about knowledge it is about being able to calculate odds for and against you to get the most money..
