The War Eagle is a mascot. It is a real Eagle, on number six now I think, who lives in a big cage not far from the stadium. It is positively bad-ass when the war eagle is released in the stadium to fly a big circle, then land back on the handler's mitt. I am not sure if they even still do that, actually. The team name is the Tigers though and that tiger mascot is called "Aubie". The past three Aubie characters, the ones who run around the stadium in the suit and screw around, have all made skydives in their suit at my Dad's dropzone. The current Aubie will be jumped into the Auburn/Georgia Bulldogs game at Jordan Hare stadium via tandem using my orange and blue tandem rig. My cousin Jay Phillips, who posts on here as "Pajarito" will be the TM; I will be in North Carolina working a military contract.

I doubt that helped, but I figured I would put it out anyway.

I would not go so far as to say they kicked the Gators Asses.

It was a Great Game. Coach Urban needs to utilize the assets he has or the Gators will never emerge.

The Gators and Leake have been over-rated this year. They are Gators of old winning off of the Superb DEFENSE!

At the beginning of the Game they did release the Eagle and told the story behind it but I do ot re-call the whole thing. I am sure it can be researched though.

The University of Alabama yells out "Roll Tide", yet their mascot is an elephant. Tuscaloosa isn't anywhere near the Gulf where the tide would be and it's not like they have elephants running around all over the place. Auburn with their two mascots is in Alabama too. the Hogs are a bit underrated. just the fact that were 5-1 and undefeated in confrence play should make a couple folks take notice. Im looking forward to the LSU game, I know it will be a battle, but one we can win.

having lived in Nashville for 12 years, I have to agree w/ you there... I just could never understand how crazy they were about the vols. I mean, I understand team loyalty and all of that, but shit... some of these people just went WAY too far... I guess it's that way everywhere but I never understood why bubba in his trailer, who didn't have a full head of teeth and dropped out in the 8th grade painted his '78 Chevy van White and ORANGE.

He's only complaining because Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and LSU all have done it and won the national championship since 1992, and Auburn's done it twice, but NO national championships.

I was actually pulling for Auburn, because Florida's loss pushed Michigan up to 2/3 in the polls. Not that it matters a lot.......November 18 in Columbus will determine the REAL #1 in college football. All these other conferences just play football to keep their fans occupied until basketball season starts.
