bigway 4 #4 October 14, 2006 I love eating that stuff in america you call food, though most of it is Geneticlly modified and enginereed food. It has good flavour but i got to ell you the british food is 100 times healthier than a sanwich from a deli in the states. american food is terrible for you. British food is good for you, though they have no choice on brands nor do they have flavour over here and the food tastes like shit at most places but one thing the Brits have that america is has NEVER seen is Bacon. America does not have bacon. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

bigway 4 #9 October 14, 2006 not talking about fried toast and fish and chips, talking about daily salt values. The nutriton in american foods is terrible. Most meals in america have over 80% of your daily salt intake in one meal. Brits do not live on fish and chips, they actually eat alot more indian currys thatn fish and chips if you want to look at it that way. .Karnage Krew Gear Store . bigway 4 #19 October 14, 2006 Sorry, never worked fast food apart from a cafe in the states. as i said, i have 'seen' meals in the states, as well as tasted that have over 80% of your daily salt intake. If i am wrong here, i guess the packaging was wrong on these meals i saw. Yes they were frozen meals, but they are a huge seller in the states. the Restraunts i have cooked in i am very proud of. Sounds like i have offended you. If you dont think your country over deos it on salt, good for you. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

That would explain your education about salt values, though. The average man should consume just under 4 grams of salt a day. This is to replenish what perspiration loses for you. 90% of US males will consume well over this. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

andybr6 0 #23 October 14, 2006 Even though there are some pretty awful English dishes not everybody thinks our food is terrible. Please see below: Quote Europe-based Restaurant Magazine recently revealed the 50 Best Restaurants in the World for 2005, chosen by an international panel of more than 600 impossible-to-please restaurateurs, chefs, food critics and industry experts. The winner of the coveted number one spot was The Fat Duck in Bray, Berkshire, Britain. http://www.worldpress.org/Americas/2090.cfm#down ------------------------------------------------ "All men can fly, but sadly, only in one direction"
Stumpy 284 #24 October 14, 2006 I still don't agree! You go to any supermarket in the UK and the fresh food section is SO much better than the US - we struggled to find food that wasn't quadruple processed when i lived out there. Here we have one of the most diverse, multicultural cuisines in the world, loads of fantastic restaurants and easily obtainable raw ingredients. Sure the Suet puddings and very traditional 1940's housewife stuff is not to everyones taste (I happen to like jam roly poly and custard!) but that is very low down the pecking order these days! The main contribution to world cuisine from the US is the hamburger. Says it all really!!! That said, if junk food is what you are after, you guys do it best! (I love arbys!) BUt on the whole i would rather have a meal from this side of the pond if i want something tasty. You guys seem intent on adding about 75 different flavours to everything. eg. a coffee - A good espresso is a thing of beauty in its own right, but go to an American coffee shop and it has to be a double frothed, hot wet, skinny soya mocha frappuchino with cinnamon and nutmeg, vanilla syrup and a cherry on top! He he - think i'm getting delirious. Must be hungry,,,,, Hmmm whats for dinner. Haggis and black pudding i think.Never try to eat more than you can lift
