Michele 1 #1 October 18, 2006 I had a huge exam this morning, and am cutting school tonight. Instead of eating out of a can at 10 pm, I am making spicy chicken enchilada verde pie....with some spanish rice. YUMMMY!! So I was wondering what the DZ.com family is having for dinner tonight (or had, considering the time difference...). Michele 1 #4 October 18, 2006 QuoteHope your exam went well! I have no idea how it went...it was Anatomy lab, bones. 50 different bones laid out on the tables, with little tags as to the feature the professor wanted...I felt like a forensic specialist standing there, trying to identify the ethmoid superior nasal concha...sigh. So I don't know how well I did. Feels all right, but that doesn't mean anything. One person (dunno who, except that it wasn't me or one of my lab partners) will receive a zero because they cheated. Apparently, they were cheating off me (hahahah...I had no idea what I was doing!!!) and the other person next to them, but I get so absorbed in my stuff that I can't remember who was near me...and never even noticed that someone might be cheating off my paper. So I am cutting class and making a real, homemade meal and just relaxing. I have three exams next week, so tonight, I need a break. Chicken enchilada pie it is!!! And a mudslide. irisheyes 0 #5 October 18, 2006 I remember exams like that. I'm sure you did great!!! Glad your professor is doing something about the person who cheated off of you. I remember the first exam I proctered as a graduate student. About 80 students took the exam and I caught 3 flat out cheating, they could not have been more obvious about it. The professor did not even call them on it, he thought it was too much trouble. I was so disillusioned. (Hijack over, sorry!)

NWFlyer 2 #17 October 18, 2006 Some leftover corned beef brisket that I cooked last night. I might steam some broccoli (need to look at the stuff in my fridge to determine if it's still good) and probably make a salad. And for dessert I'm making a cheesecake. Michele 1 #18 October 18, 2006 QuoteI remember exams like that. I'm sure you did great!!! Glad your professor is doing something about the person who cheated off of you. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I don't feel bad, wasn't too badly lost, and the prof says it's rare to get an A on these exams...especially the first big exam of the semester, 'cause we don't know what to expect. And after the exam and while he was setting the dissection up, we were all talking, and people were asking me "what's that bone" and I had the same answers as they did, so that helped ease my worry. Meh, it's done, can't be undone, it is what it is, and I'll be fine one way or the other. As for the cheater, I think the prof will be talking to them; he's not kicking them out of class, and says he'll be talking to them about why they cheated, and knows I didn't have anything to do with it (I asked him...he crossed his eyes at me and said "no, I know better than to think you cheated..."), so it's how it goes. I wish they hadn't cheated, though; I had several study groups and people came, so I don't know why anyone would have to cheat, you know? Sigh. Dinner's gonna be yummy...it's in the oven now, and starting to smell really, really good. But I want Brian's dinner, too...only if someone else cooks it for me, though. Also some salad, tomatoes, and cottage cheese. Simple fare that hits the spot. I always get home ahead of Beth, so should have it all ready by the time she gets home.
