bigway 4 #27 October 21, 2006 You were my nurse. You just never knew it. I sat there posting one day in hospital a couple of years ago and you were posting from the nurses station... i was giving you and peacefuljeffery shit and was pissing myself with laughter cause you were abusing me online and then coming in and being a kind nice little nurssey. You had no idea and it was my funniest stay in hospital. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

ACMESkydiver 0 #46 October 21, 2006 You said 'salary'. That means something else than income in the US...salary is a guaranteed. Most who make over $130k work on commission and it is not a guaranteed salary. I voted for $130 and up, because I didn't feel even the slightest bit comfortable or secure until we broke that barrier with our unique family situation. Hell even if I was single, I couldn't do anything significant for the rest of my family and people I care about with any less... we've been through major swings up and down (6 digits per year up AND down) and it's been tricky to deal with that. If it was a stable $130k, I could make it work.~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

Skyrad 0 #48 October 21, 2006 So is that a combined income? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
ACMESkydiver 0 #49 October 21, 2006 QuoteSo is that a combined income? We have: *Hourly wage -paid 'X' dollars per hour worked *Salary -paid 'X' dollars for the month regardless of hours worked (this is tricky though...they KILL managers with this ) *Commission -paid for performance *A combination thereof Many high 'commission' (paid based on performance, i.e. percentage of sales dollars) are either 'straight commission' -(meaning if you don't sell, you don't eat) or base plus -meaning they pay you a pittance for a base and then the BIG dough is in the commission structure. If $130k was not commission-based, that would be a good income, IMHO.~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. Gawain 0 #50 October 22, 2006 To me, it's partly based on where one lives. In Los Angeles, California, "very good money" would have to be well north of $250,000/year. In San Antonio, Texas, I'd guess $100,000. In Iowa, $60,000...So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
