Just got my rig back

Recommended Posts

From Perris rigging loft. Was in a hurry. Grabbed it and went home. BRAND NEW NEVER JUMPED rig. Had a reserve repack and main repack and inspection for selling it. Got home and upon closer inspection IT LOOKS LIKE SHIT. Wrinkles everywhere, all packed uneven. If the inside looks like the outside I'm afraid to jump the motherfucker. Called the loft after I looked at it at the house. Was pissed. Used a couple expletives in general directed at no one and was hung up on. $110 dollars down the drain. PERRIS SUCKS. Second bad experience there. No mas.>:(

I would definitely speak with the owner of dz directly. You must take it easy on the language though. I have a huge problem with that myself, but if you act like that, even if they are dead wrong they may not care to help you. I would be absolutely pissed myself, thats a pretty shitty deal. I hope it all works out.
don't try your bullshit with me!!!

aka... what master rigger said... remember, you'll catch more bees with honey... ;)

I would be interested in seeing pictures too though? What kind of rig are we talking about here?

By the way, after reading your post... I need to raise my prices!

Chuck,

Its well known that the loft(s) at Perris charge big $$ for folks who want "instant gradification"... for example, those who want a reserve repack "today" or "overnight". Its been discussed a lot around here and IMO I suppose its okay... if they can charge that and someone is willing to pay it, so what? What does irk me a bit is a lot of these places will also nickel and dime their customers for stuff that a lot of us other riggers will not... for example, a new cypress loop or changing out cypress batteries will draw you an additional charge at a lot of these places... again, though, if their customers are willing to pay it... *shrugs*

I think there are at least two rigging lofts at Perris... I'm sure someone will correct me quickly if I'm wrong... thing is though, I'm not 100% sure if their is any real connection between the DZO and either loft... ???... as in complaining to them may not get you really far.

Ranting about the place on DZ.com wouldn't seem to be of much use either.

Hey Kevin, just thought I'd let you know I had a very similar experience at Adventure loft at Perris in 05.

Got hosed big time on price ($90 to I&R reserve and repack main...not even a main inspection!), and started a thread in gear & rigging to ask about pricing and got flamed for it. I didn't even mention the loft by name, just asked about pricing for the area in general and oh fuck oh dear, you'd have thought I questioned the integrity of mother Teresa herself by the response I got.

If they were the only loft in the world, I'd honestly quit jumping!

There's one "official" loft at Perris that does most immediate-need stuff. There are several other riggers there who can do repacks quickly as well, but they're not "DZO endorsed" or anything.

Will the Perris management allow the other riggers to work on-site?
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
