ACMESkydiver 0 #1 October 30, 2006 Which dreams have you seen come to fruition? I wanted to be a soldier since I was 12, and I did it. I wanted to be a wife and mother since I was 14, and I am. I wanted to see the world famous Lippizanner Stallions of the Spanish Riding School of Vienna since I was a 5 year old girl, and last year, I took my daughter and saw them. I have wanted to be a pilot since I was 15, and I did it (technically; I flew solo so I 'piloted' the aircraft. Still haven't finished my full licensing...) What have you done? (Oh and PS I don't inclde skydiving on there because it was never something I wanted to do outside of the army...my husband just forced me into it! ) Edit to add link to the Spanish School of Riding: http://www.spanische-hofreitschule.com/index.php?id=353 It's unreal what these horses can do!~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. karenmeal 0 #2 October 30, 2006 I wanted to be a skydiver since I was 14 or so. I always wanted to live in California because it seemed so glamorous to me growing up in Redneckville Virginia. I did that, then realized I like Redneckvilles because people are more honest about themselves and care less about appearances. I wanted to become college edumacated and I should get my degree in June. Other things I want is to own my own home and have a kick-ass garden. I want to hike and backpack enough to feel comfortable calling myself a backpacker. I want to make a positive difference in the lives of people that I work with. I want to run a stroke support group and help improve the quality of life of stroke survivors. I want to do research that means something. I want to be on a freefly team. I want to finally feel comfortable doing a 270. I want to have my own dog. I want to stay healthy. HMm.... I've still got a long way to go. Edited to add: And I want to get a 1300 on my GRE.. (but I'll be happy with 1200).. this will happen or not happen in about 6 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mrGuy 0 #4 October 30, 2006 Ever since I was a young kid I've wanted to be an underachiever, and I'm proud to say that I've reached a level of success beyond my wildest dreams! That, and I've also remained childless thanks to my stunning ability to impose sterility upon myself simply by the act of positive thinking. All and all, I couldn't be happier. It has also been a dream for the past six years to move back to the beautiful hill country, and that one happened a few months ago. I never wanted to become a skydiver until my sister bought me a tandem for my 31st birthday. After the jump, I fell in love with skydiving, and almost talked myself out of doing it. Now, over a year later, that dream has come true way beyond what I imagined. Almost 100 jumps now (I know that's not really a lot) and I've become a CReW dog!!Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:
 mrGuy 0 #7 October 30, 2006 QuoteRiiiiiight. I've also wanted to be a veterinarian since I was four years old (according to my mother). Today, I am in New Zealand and my final exams for my first semester of vet school start tomorrow! (Three I'd consider 'real' records.) Always thought it would be cool to invent things. Three patents issued so far, with two in the pipeline. For some reason, I always thought I'd want to marry someone like a surgeon. Silly once I started to think about it seriously, but I ended up doing that too. From age 18 I knew I wanted to fly, so I got my pilot's license when I was 23. Never really wanted to skydive until someone told me about it - within a week I was making SL jumps.
