boinky 0 #1 October 14, 2006 You can experiment with pumpkin carving designs here before you do the real thing! Nina Are we called "DAWGs" because we stick our noses up people's butts? (RIP Buzz) Yep, you're a postwhore-billyvance
cocheese 0 #2 October 14, 2006 That is cool. Here is a carving technique to try. Scrape away eveything but the parts you would normally cut out. This way it looks like a real 3-D person... like an ice carving for example. Use the sharp edge of a spoon to carve. It's a good work out and you won't cut yourself. Leave the "lid" on the top. No need to even open up the pumpkin and get all gooey. The pumpkin will rot sooner this way, but even that is cool as it makes it look like a very old guy. sundevil777 102 #5 October 15, 2006 The cheapo pumpkin carving kits that are commonly available are the only way to do it. They come with a great scraper, and best of all are the different sizes of narrow, serrated edge carving blades. Using a regular knife is awful once you've used the right tool. These designs were cut from patterns provided in the kit. We've done these for several years now.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. sundevil777 102 #8 October 15, 2006 Thanks, they get a lot of attention from the kids and parents. There are swarms of kids all over in our neighborhood on Halloween. The carving kits are just a few bucks, and they make it really fun. One downside is that the thin sections of the pumpkins will rot and distort much quicker, so they only look really good for a short time.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired.
