MrFreefall383 0 #1 November 1, 2006 Since no one has started a real running thread this week, I'll do the honors. For those of you doing the Couch-to-5k or 10k, feel free to update your progress, otherwise just put in whatever progress you may have made in the running world. As for me, I ran 3 miles Monday night. It was a perfect night for it too. Half moon, no wind, just cold enough to be comfortable, weird glow over the whole track. Kind of felt like a spec ops soldier running into a combat zone with all my black Under Armour and black shooting gloves. Makes for interesting motivation. Ran 3 miles, busted my butt for it, and completed the run in 23 minutes, 35 seconds, less than an 8 minute mile. I'm satisfied, so I'm going to slow it down a touch and bump up to 4 miles next Monday after I get back from Washington, DC."If at first you don't succeed... well, so much for skydiving." - aviation cliche

TheStepchild 0 #3 November 1, 2006 I ran 2.5 miles this afternoon. I wanted to run 3, but I was completely dead at 2. I struggled to 2.5 and decided that was enough. Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow. BlueSBDeath 2 #5 November 1, 2006 I finished the MCM (Marine Corps Marathon) this past Sunday. It will more than likely be my last marathon, it was # 15. I just don't take the time to train correct, and man did it hurt I will stick to 10ks and maybe halfs, not as much work required.
