A friend just told me that I say "at any rate" all of the time. When I think about it, I don't even know what that expression means, where I've heard it before, or why I say it.

My son told me that he can hear my jaw popping when I chew. People can hear that!!! I can hear it, but I've gotten used to it. I didn't know it was so loud that others could hear it too.

I think these are quirks that make up "you" as a whole. Like jumpjunkie says she is flirty....is this good or bad? Its neither, it is what it is. Should she change? Maybe no, maybe yes. Its what makes her endearing to some.


By the way...I am flirty too. I am also outgoing, some may view that as "pushy", "aggressive" whatever (I have heard it all), BUT most enjoy it! I yam what I yam!!

Apparently I say "NOW LISTEN TO ME" alot. Or so I was told at the WFFC by someone who had to listen to me ALOT!!
Guess I gotta work on it.

I say, "I see..." a lot. LOL!! My students broke me of it last year my whispering repeating it after me when I did it too much. It worked very well.

I once broke myself of saying "ya'll" and my southern accent thinking it wouldn't serve me well in the professional world later in life.

On the contrary, both the former serve me quite well in sales.

One of my Biggest Pet Peeves..."you Know". I hate it when I am talking to someone and every other phrase is "You Know".

Resently I was talking to someone with this annoying habit and after about 2 minutes, I interrupted than and let them know that they said "You Know" 27 times ithe past 2 minutes.

Example:
"So I was going down the street you know.. And then this car you know Like pulled right out in front of me you know. I had to slam oin brakes You know to keep from hitting them you know. Scarred the shit out of me you know."

Arrrrgggg!!!

NO I dont Know..Why dont you tell me.. And If I do already Know, Why are you wasting my Time??
