normiss 892 #4 November 2, 2006 for a LOT of us there is that....for the vast majority of users...there's the Microsoft way....and supporting it is a pain sometimes. I didn't care for my test drive of 7.0 and the uninstall doesn't. It also does not work with all websites yet....damnit. But it will be force fed to the masses over the next week or so....whether you want it or not. and yes I know...Unix is the best os ever...I've been hearing that for 25 years now....and I still do not believe it! PhreeZone 20 #5 November 2, 2006 We issued a statement that said IE 7 does not work with our software, install it and you lose our support. Stupid MS updating the MMC framework in the IE install... McBeth 0 #6 November 2, 2006 That will be a major problem for me. There is software I need for work that doesn't work with. Edited to add: It's a good thing my company doesn't push down all the updates to us.

Yup, pretty much the same for my company."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. PhreeZone 20 #8 November 2, 2006 If anyone wants to make sure they do not get IE7 Go to here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=4516A6F7-5D44-482B-9DBD-869B4A90159C&displaylang=en Specifically Blocker Script The script creates a registry key and sets the associated value to block or unblock (depending on the command-line option used) automatic delivery of Internet Explorer 7 on either the local machine or a remote target machine. Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Setup\7.0 Key value name: DoNotAllowIE70 When the key value name is not defined, distribution is not blocked. When the key value name is set to 0, distribution is not blocked. When the key value name is set to 1, distribution is blocked.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Scoop 0 #9 November 2, 2006 QuoteMechanical engineers don't maked mistakes...they make changes. No, we make mistakes alright, but like the old saying 'if at first you dont suceed, remove any evidence that you ever tried', we bin anything that isn't right and start again. PLus side is at the end of the month we have a lovely bin full of scrap aluminium and we sell it for scrap!
