What is your favorite lunch in the fall?

Recommended Posts

Now that its starting to get cooler outside (its 59F here right now), I've refound some old favorites of mine for lunch.

Today I had a Chicken and Dumplings soup (from a can), a nice grilled cheese and a Dr. Pepper. Its basically my favorite fall time lunch. Although the soup choice changes, the DP and the grilled cheese stays the same.

Whats your choice for lunch? Difficulty: made at home or from ready made food that you heat/cook at home/office.

I like to make Thai curries in the cooler months ... cook some for dinner and reheat leftovers the next day. The flavors seem to intensify in the fridge so it's a nice spicy hot meal for a cool day.

Aw, man . . . that made me think of one of my favorites: grilled cheese (made with extra-ghetto Velveeta) and campbell's tomato soup. Not particular about what drink goes with it. :)

Oh yeah ... that's a classic. Lots and lots of butter on both sides of both pieces of bread. Mmmm....

Fall is pomegranate season. I ate two of them a couple of days ago. Damn, those things are good. I believe that too much pomegranate may cause some forms of gastric distress...:S

Other than that, soup season has begun. While chili is a good yearround item, something about fine soups in autumn is great!

Frito pie! Reminds me of HS football games!

Oh man, how could I have forgotten about the Frito Pie? I'm going to have to go buy some chedder, chili and fritos for tomorrow.:)

Brilliant! I know what I'm having for lunch if the weather sucks this weekend. I make a pretty wicked tvp chili, too. :D

I was going to say the exact same thing, except for the extra-ghetto Velveeta part. i'll have to try that...
