caspar 0 #1 November 2, 2006 i just got my lip pierced and although it rocks (the initial bar i have in is a little too long and is scratching the fuck out of my teeth), i know when its all healed i'll get a shorter bar and im told this should be fine. any people out there who have a lip piercing have problems with it scratching your teeth even with a properly sized bar? (dont know the technical name for the bar with ball on the end)."When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."

Buried 0 #3 November 2, 2006 yeah i guess that's b/c they leave in the wrong size bar forever! i've only had one small chip on a molar from my tongue piercing, but that never required anything from a dentist. I've chipped more teeth from activities than from piercings.. Where is my fizzy-lifting drink?
kristenmichie 0 #4 November 2, 2006 my friend had a labret piercing and he said after a while the constant scratching of the back of it against the teeth will wear them done some. But it wasn't a huge issue. He probably had it in for 3 years or so. But the shorter the bar he got, the tighter the fit, and the tighter the fit the more uncomfortable per him. I think you'll get used to it though. We're here for a good time, not a long time.
