Dumpster 0 #1 November 2, 2006 I refer to them as "The Boys " - Bart and Enzo, the two cats I share a small house with - Anyway, at 5:45 AM this morning, they're doing what they normally do - Chasing each other around the house - Typical for these two guys - Normally it's no biggie, until they decide the shortest distance between two cats is ACROSS MY FACE!!! Little fuckers. Nice bloody cat scratch under my left eye. More on my left leg and left arm. Now I understand why people in some countries eat these critters. PLFXpert 0 #2 November 2, 2006 Sucker! If it makes you feel any better, Zoe' likes to lay on my belly in bed and get her head scratched first thing in the morning... Cruzer scared her when he jumped on the bed, too... My belly is shredded. Actually it's pretty much gone away now. Holy cow that hurt!Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. kris2extreme 0 #3 November 2, 2006 I love cats. They're always interesting. We've actually had a new kitten here at the house for the last few days... it's been fun watching it wander around and learn the new house.
Dumpster 0 #4 November 2, 2006 They knew I was pissed - Normally they are quite affectionate in the morning while I'm getting ready for work, today they gave me a WIDE berth. I had blood running down my cheek -- Must've looked kinda scary - - Easy Does It

LisaM 0 #7 November 2, 2006 My kitty sits outside the bedroom door and meows each morning.... no kitties in the bedroom! I don't know how you people get any sleep! Then when I open the door she bolts in.... she's never allowed in there... it's my "safe zon." (allergy free!). I've thought about getting 2. She's been in our house for about a month now.... She's 4 months..... Hmmm..... another kitty? ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
PLFXpert 0 #8 November 2, 2006 I'm SUCH a pushover when it comes to animals. Both our kitties and our 50 lb dog end up in bed every night. We tell them repeatedly to get down---they all come to my side and as gently as possible try to lie down un-noticed. Cruzer is the funniest being that he's 50 lbs and tried to slowly creep his way onto the bed w/out jumping. Talk about a less spontaneous sex life. The first step is always kicking everyone out, or sometimes it's easier just to shut them all in and go to a different room. But that's how it is. I LOOOOOVE waking up to a bunch of furry faces every morning.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
LisaM 0 #9 November 2, 2006 My hubby came home late last week from out of town. I snoozed on the couch while waiting for him. At one point I opened my eyes and Maya (all 4 1/2 lbs of her) was sitting right there, her nose to mine, just staring at me. I fell off the couch! I am a bit jumpy though! ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder? PLFXpert 0 #10 November 2, 2006 Yep, sounds like Zoe'. On a particularly cold night last winter I woke to find myself nose-to-nose with Zoe' on my chest, Sabre purring in my arm pit and Cruzer practically on top of Billy. Geez! I mean seriously---it's ridiculous. I have to lint roller/vacuum/take allergy pills every single day; only takes about 30 minutes, but still--that's not including the walks, the ribbon-dangling, the feeding hour, the treats, the brushing, the..... It's a wonder I have time for anything else. It's like having two-year olds that never grow up. But who am I kidding? I asked for it and I wouldn't have it any other way.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
Dumpster 0 #11 November 2, 2006 The boys keep each other entertained very well - Both like to park themselves on top of me while I sleep. They'll chase each other around a wrestle, all kinds of neat cat-stuff. Folks have asked me why I don't get a dog, and I tell them it's because a dog doesn't run on autopilot. Too high-maintenance. I can leave the boys on thier own for the weekend Owning a dog is like owning dairy cattle - Gotta be there at least twice a day for 'em.
