One can easily be a 2 in one group and an 8 in another, there is no absolute. For that matter, it's not necessarily linear within each group. Where you "rank" in the group is relative to individuals, not necessarily to the group as a whole. In other words, you may be "above" person A, who is "above" person B, but person B is "above" you. Of course, the whole idea of ranking a social hierarchy is absurd, which is why I voted 1.
