Your opinion on a price for this rig

Javelin J5N size C19 harness (DOM - 7/00) with a Sabre 210 main and PD-218R reserve (6/04 - no rides as far as I know). Container has less than 200 jumps on it and main has only approximately 100 jumps on it. Rig also has a cypress (7/00) but will need 4yr service and batteries. And reserve needs repack.

I was curious to what peoples opinons are for a price range on this rig Im thinking 2500-3000$

I can't comment on price but be sure to check the packing card to be sure that the RSL is noted as either- "RSL components removed at Factory" Or "NO RSL INSTALLED AT FACTORY" other wise you'll have to find a Master Rigger to sign off on the RSL removal or may have problems getting a re-pack on that rig.

Those are my guesses for average pricing. For SoCal add 10-20%.

Thanks bill does that include the prices for the cypress 4 yr service it needs and the reserve repack and excuse me it does have an RSL.

I used the Cypres price estimator, so it probably does include that price. I didn't consider a repack; 90% of buyers want a rigger to inspect the reserve before they accept it, so most people assume they will be getting it repacked themselves anyway.

Makes it a bit easier - you won't need to find a master rigger to sign anything off.

The Sabre210: I would advise getting a pocket sown on to this to help slow the openings. Have a qualified rigger (maybe need a Senior or Master rigger to do this - not sure) and get their opinion. Otherwise, make sure you roll that nose well and quarter the slider well. I have a Sabre as well, but it is a 120 and the smaller sizes don't have the hard opening reputation like the larger ones.

Perhaps also note if the brake line mod and larger slider have been applied to it. I know the Sabre 230 had the brake line mod applied to newer canopies in the late 90's, but I don't know if the Sabre 210 had the same mod.

somebody correct me if I'm wrong:

if the cypres was made in '00, and hasn't had it's 4 year, it will need the 4 year check to be jumped this year, but then need it's 8 year before you can jump it next season. (legally in the US)
This is depending of course on the actual month of manufacture. You might get 2 seasons out of it (before 8 year) if it was manufactured late in the year.

If I recall correctly, the checks are based solely on the DOM (+ 3 months), not the time between checks.

You might want to consider this additional expense of 2 service "check-ups" possibly within a year

So does a larger then stock slider help to slow the openings. Is it worth taking the chance of a neck breaking opening
