jheadley 0 #2 November 8, 2006 Some places will take the copy, some will not. I know, it's annoying. I just had that problem this summer. I carried my passport in a pouch around my neck, UNDER my shirt. I felt that was secure.

In 15 years of living here the only time I've been asked for my ID is when paying by credit card, or having been stopped for a routine check whilst driving. I just noticed your in Malaga, We in the north still think of Andalucia as north Africa, Gone fishing
Nightingale 0 #4 November 8, 2006 Probably better to carry the real one with you, and keep a photocopy in your luggage and/or in the hotel safe. that way, if you lose it, you can go to your embassy with the copy and your ID card (driver's license?) and get your documents replaced.
