chaoskitty 0 #2 November 9, 2006 No, not if they were joking.. like in the midst of some fun BS.. saying "haha.. youre such a liar!" Whats to be offended about?
TheAnvil 0 #3 November 9, 2006 I am very sensitive and would be greatly offended by being called most anything. My sensitivity has caused me to drink tequila en masse for years. PLFXpert 0 #8 November 9, 2006 Ellen Degeneres did a funny sketch in the intro on one of her shows about when someone says something along the lines of: "You look like hell. Ha. Ha."...."I'm only teasing, you." And slaps you on the back like you're chums. Frankly, it takes a lot to offend me. I have my opinions just like the next person, but if someone disagrees, resorts to name-calling, even if they're not joking I really just don't see how me getting offended & upset will do me any justice. Joking or not, unless the joker is my boss or someone who needs to have a good impression of me, then I don't see myself being upset over being called a liar. I'm not generally a liar--but I've told some lies in my life. I tend to exaggerate, too. I admit those things, I'm OK with that about myself, and I'm quite certain I'd have to call BS on anyone who claims to have never lied. What does it really mean to be called a liar, anyways? Do you think someone can have told a lie & be a trustworthy person? Now, the question changes to: Will I be offended when someone calls me verbose after that answer.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

wmw999 2,584 #11 November 9, 2006 Interestingly enough, there's a similar thread and poll in SC right now, only with the word "nazi" as the topic instead.
