Can anyone give me advice on hosting services or templates? Anyone with information on you this site operates would be very helpful. The site I'm wanting to build will be related to politics. I would read up on building online communities before you invest too much time or money into the project though. Hunderds of websites have been launched with the goal of developing into community site where people can gather to discuss a certian topic but because the site fails to add value in some way they fail. Also just because you are adding value via content does not mean the community will reach the critical mass needed to take off and grow. You need to determine the end goal of the site so you are able to shape its creation correctly. If you only want a site where 20 people are posting and thats all you want those design criteria are different then the DNC or RNC's website.
