Sockpuppet 0 #1 November 10, 2006 Last night I shopped a mate for drink driving. Well now ex-mate. We were down the "pub" drinking (coke for me as I was driving) ... came time to go home and he was adamant that he was going to drive. Talked him out of it and offered him a lift home (2 mins from Pub) he went to car to get house keys then took off. Nothing much I could do but tell the cops where he lived and his number plate. I went round to his house to see if he had made it and he'd decided to go off accross the city to his misses house. In hindsight I should have just kicked the carp out of him and took his keys. Anyway sould cleansing over... ------ Two of the three voices in my head agree with you. It might actually be unanimous but voice three only speaks Welsh. Skyrad 0 #2 November 10, 2006 Crap situation but how would you have felt if you heard that he'd killed himself in a car wreck or worse someone else or a child. You did the right thing, he didn't.When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Andy_Copland 0 #3 November 10, 2006 When i was younger i was a right little nightmare for drink driving (in my sisters car with no license, insurance etc) I wish my friends would of shopped me, never had a crash until i was sober and going fishing... Ironic huh No one hurt except me when my sister found out i'd crashed her car that i said i would take to the dump for her but had been driving for months 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue.
unformed 0 #4 November 10, 2006 You should have kicked his ass and taken his keys. No need to bring cops into it. By the way, how much did he have to drink? This ad space for sale.

Thats a tough situation to be in, the important thing is that you are happy with your actions and can accept the consequences should there be any (loss of freindship etc. etc.) When you say you told the cops, were they in the area or did you ring them? What was the outcome? It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
CSpenceFLY 1 #6 November 10, 2006 Couple of questions. How much did he have to drink? How far was he driving? Did you call the police on him?

Skyrad 0 #12 November 10, 2006 You might just have prevented something like this http://www.mcminn.k12.tn.us/mchs/indexstuff%20copy/Mockwreck.html It only takes a small amount to make a big difference. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Sockpuppet 0 #14 November 10, 2006 QuoteCouple of questions. How much did he have to drink? How far was he driving? Did you call the police on him? Hi guys, About 5 pints and 5 doubles of JD. If it had been two or three pints I may have let it go, it was the he mounted the pavement as he left kind of driving that made me do it. He lives 2 minutes away. I went round to see if he was home and he wasnt, seems that he took off and went to his girlfriends accross town (a good 10-12 miles). Yes. I offered him a lift home which he accepted then shook my hand saying he wasnt going to drive then peeled out. That was a bit of a slap in the face when the lied as shaking my hand. Not heard of any accidents last night so at least no-one was injured. ------ Two of the three voices in my head agree with you. It might actually be unanimous but voice three only speaks Welsh.
