What I did today!!

I woke up at 4 am and said to myself: What the f#!* am I doing in eloy? I could kill myself. I am an idiot. I will never figure this all out.

And then a wonderful friend of mine called me and told me that I was spending a freaking lot of money not to be having fun.

You know what? He was right!!B|B|

So this is what I did today:

-Made the first load of the day.
-Did a backflip in the air.
-Did my first solo exit, and even though I tumbled out, was able to right myself no problem.
-Turned, turned, turned. 90's. 360s. And threw in some 375's because I got a little too rambunctious with the speed of my turns.;)
-Did a second solo exit and it was perfect. Got stable at 13,000, thought my altimeter was broken, so I tapped it. duh!!:$
-Tracked.
-Did some perfect PLF's and one almost standup landing (but in the tumbleweeds. Boy do I owe the packers here lots and lots of money.)

And the best part is, I remembered to have fun doing it and not worry about the fact that I am RETARDED and cannot figure out the damn landing pattern to save my life.

I am one jump short of getting off of student status. If I hadn't gone to lunch, I'd have made it. The winds kicked up and we were grounded.:(

I have awesome bruises on my upper arms and I look like someones been manhandling me. I wanted to go to Walmart with my friend Troy and have him yell, "Woman, shut up or you'll get what's coming to you!!"

My only snag is the rig is so damn wide on me that I have a terrible time flaring all of the way. (Yes, that's an important problem to overcome). Thus my shaky landings. I figure I'll get stronger as I go and if I do only one practice flare that saves a little strength for landing. What a big wuss I am.:S

But I'm a wuss that's having fun, so woo hoo!!

To my friends in Colorado, skydiver, tunnel rats and whuffos, I miss you bunches and thanks for all your emails and text messages. I have the best friends in the world.:)

If indeed you're having problems with the landing pattern, I am sure a certain Mr Burke will be happy to give you a crash course very soon...:P
