billvon 3,107 #1 November 13, 2006 Had to go into work today, so I took my mountain bike and went via the canyon, which is a 5 mile long preserve near us. Halfway there I came across ten kids walking their llamas. Got to work, spent a few hours there, then left to go to Radio Shack. I needed four low-current 12 volt relays, but I suspected Radio Shack did not have such devices. As I was pondering what to do, a pickup truck piled high with various furniture and appliances went careening by me. A piece of a washing machine fell off, but fortunately it was far enough ahead of me by that time that it didn't come close to hitting me. I got to it and noticed it was the panel from a fairly new washer. There were two circuit boards inside, and one contained eight 12-volt low current relays. PhreeZone 20 #6 November 13, 2006 Bill, you mean work just doesn't have whole piles of stuff like that you to test with? As for the Llamas, doesn't every canyon out there have 10 kids walking llama's in it? JohnRich 4 #20 November 13, 2006 You are such a geek! I'm surprised you didn't stop and make a deal with the llama boys to harvest their dung for burning in a high-tech convection fireplace to warm your house all winter for free. Maybe that's what you needed the 12-volt relays for...

Muenkel 0 #22 November 13, 2006 Bill, I'm curious as to one thing. Which part did you find to be more odd, the boys with their llamas or the washing machine part with the low current 12 volt relays?
