fields 0 #1 November 16, 2006 I got this email yesterday- Quote A submarine volcano named Home Reef in the South Pacific nation of Tonga erupted in August 2006. A sequence of images from MODIS on both Aqua and Terra document the eruption and the subsequent "sea of stone". These images are currently featured on the OceanColor web: http://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/ It has a cool link that has photos of the plume and also a pumice raft seen taken from a yacht Also one about the Home Reef. I just heard radio story about this "new island" on PRI's The World"And the sky is blue and righteous in every direction" Survivor Chuck Palahniuk
jumper03 0 #2 November 16, 2006 Ain't mother nature got some cool shit in her bag of tricks? If you guys are interested in stuff like this, I can post more links - our planet is alive. She's constantly rearranging bits and pieces here and there, throwing up stuff over there, taking stuff down out here...
