Misslmperfect 0 #26 November 23, 2006 i didn't take any supplements to lose my weight, but i do take hoodia now to curb my hunger. my stomach growls CONSTANTLY (well, it used to) and it was SO frustrating. i always felt hungry, no matter what.... anywho, after taking the hoodia stuff from GNC for 2 weeks, i don't feel hungry at all. ever. the only problem with this is its really easy NOT to eat when your body needs you to. also, it stops you from feeling thirsty, so dehydration is a danger. sooooo, for a natural appetite suppressant, you cant beat it. i take the one without the thermogenic (i think thats what its called), but according to the GNC guy that one slows down your metabolism. there is one WITH a thermogenic, as well which is geared more toward weight loss. hope that helps =)Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison! Andy9o8 2 #27 November 23, 2006 I took ephedra once when I was trying to wean myself from caffeine. Gave me the most brutal headache I've ever had in my life; I thought I was having a cerebral hemmorhage. Never again.

tigra 0 #29 November 23, 2006 Fat binder- YUK! There's "carb blockers" out there that probably do the same thing. Not for me! I was thinking of the clinics that dispense pills that decrease your appetite and boost your energy just like Trim Spa and the others do- but without the side effects and IMO- more effective. There's one near my old office, and I assume they must be all over the place. For $55.00 a month you get B-12 shots every two weeks and a 30 day supply of pills. I don't know what a 30 day supply of Trim Spa plus vitamins costs, but my guess is its about the same or more. disclaimer: There is no such thing as a "magic pill" and yes, these clinics pretty much exist just to sell the pills. BUT, they are staffed with Doctors and other medical professionals, they do take a medical history and check your weight and blood pressure at lease once a month. If you are going to go that route anyway, why not do it a little more responsibly?
tigra 0 #30 November 23, 2006 Sunny, I've done the ephedra thing with Xenedrine a few years back. And even though I lost a lot of weight, I don't recommend it. I gained it all back and more as soon as I stopped taking it and started eating again. Plus it made my heart race, I had mood swings, terrible heartburn, and it interfered with my sleep. At the time, I thought it was all good, because I was losing weight. So what if I was a bitch on wheels- I was wearing my "skinny jeans", right? I had given up hope of being able to modify fun recipes that required yogurt for my twins due to the non-dairy requirement. I'll call some other local grocery stores to find it. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
