skydiver30960 0 #1 November 24, 2006 Yes, I did search the forums... But didn't find anything on this subject in particular. Looks like most programs out there are for outlook or express. Does anyone have any tricks on how to boost the anti-spam capabilities on a yahoo account? My yahoo account did GREAT for years, but now it seems the filter is as porous as a screen door. It may just be that this addy has just had too much "exposure" and it's time to start up a new one... Elvisio "no I don't care about stock options or ViAgrA, dammit!" PhreeZone 20 #2 November 24, 2006 You can't modify the account. The email is on their servers and unless you work for Yahoo or hack their servers you can't place anything on them. The Outlook plugins work by filtering it after it downloads, you still have to retrieve the email and if it is like some peoples inboxes that still means downloading 100+ emails a day to then have it run through the program locally deleting the bad ones.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
skydiver30960 0 #3 November 24, 2006 This... is what I was afraid of. I guess it's just time to start up a new account. I got almost ten years out of this one, so I guess I can't complain. Elvisio "spambags suck" Rodriguez
bob.dino 1 #4 November 24, 2006 If Yahoo! offer POP3 or IMAP access to your account, you can use Outlook/Thunderbird/etc to read your mail and apply whatever extra spam protection measures you desire. Edit: It looks like Yahoo! offer free POP3 access to your mail as long as you are willing to let them spam you .
