SkydiveStMarys 0 #1 November 27, 2006 Well, I actually started early, last weekend and did a little this weekend. I am a kinda last/late minute shopper. So I'm proud of myself for starting to Christmas shop in November. BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude. Zeppo 0 #4 November 27, 2006 I don't have that many gifts to buy, so I'm making sure that each one that I get, is truely meaningful. So although technically, I bought anything yet, I have already started. What goes up, must come DOWN!!!

moodyskydiver 0 #7 November 27, 2006 I pretty much know what I want to buy everyone..I made a list last week so I wouldnt forget. So now all I need is $ to fall from the sky or win the lottery to pay for the stuff. Icon134 0 #8 November 27, 2006 aren't Choice #1 and #5 ultimately the same thing... I haven't started buying things for my immediate family and I opted to NOT participate in my extended families annual gift exchange. Not because I'm a scrooge but because I can't stand the stress of trying to pick something out for someone people that I don't know well... and I have recieved gifts from cousins that have literally never left the closet. I'm not a big fan of christmas though because I'm not very good at comming up with gifts... (and the one family member that is easiest to buy for has already told me that she was content if I didn't get her anything...) ScottLivin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife... SpeedRacer 1 #11 November 27, 2006 In my family we skip the gift thing (except for the children in the family). It's just too much of a PITA, and a distraction from the true meaning of Christmas. It was all Mom's Idea: She hates shopping. She says we should take the $ we would have spent in the malls & give it to good charities. We still do all the other Christmas stuff, the tree, visiting, feasting, midnight mass, etc. We just skip the gift thing for adults. Let's face it, buying gifts for adults kinda sucks. we don't need anything, and if we do, other people won't have the best idea what we want. The whole gift craziness is just stupid & a distraction.
