PLFXpert 0 #1 November 28, 2006 once in a blue moon. But, I don't download or burn or Ipod or the like, so if I really want an album, I buy it. I just bought my first CD this year (yes I know it's almost 2007). Corinne Bailey Rae Fantastic! She is amazing. I know it's been said before, but she reminds me a little of Norah Jones & Joss Stone (both artists I also love). The link to her site is cool b/c you can hear an excerpt of the songs on her album. So what was the last CD you purchased? Or for you techys, what was the last song or artist you burned?Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. slotperfect 7 #5 November 28, 2006 My sister-in-law works for a music wholesaler, and I get a free CD or two thrown my way occasionally. She gave me the Corinne Bailey Rae CD a couple of months ago. It's excellent!Arrive Safely John

Lindercles 0 #13 November 28, 2006 I still buy CDs too, if it's an album I feel is worth my money. But when I do I immediately rip it, then put it back in the sleeve and never take it out again. If I want to listen to it in the car I burn a copy from the mp3s. That way the original never gets ruined. If I ever lose the mp3s, I can just rip it again. Some CD's can't just be bought like that though. Take for instance Operation Ivy, Energy unless the record sompanies re released it, but they were on look out a small label that probibly isn't around anymore. There are a lot of CDs that just aren't produced anymore.Divot your source for all things Hillbilly. Anvil Brother 84 SCR 14192
Lindercles 0 #18 November 28, 2006 This is very true. Not to mention some that were never really available in the first place, except at live shows. Of course, it's not like Florida has much of a music scene to speak of anyway.
PLFXpert 0 #19 November 28, 2006 Neither do I, silly. I don't have anything coming out of my ears except sweet sugar for you & for all. Lindercles 0 #21 November 28, 2006 You know the rules. If yer gonna play in Texas, ya gotta have a fiddle in the band. DUH. And lets not forget, I'm not just in Texas, I'm in Austin. Slightly different scene than most of the rest of the state.
