kelel01 1 #1 December 1, 2006 Going back to a job I once hated. The biggest problem I see is that it's pretty far away from home, so I'd have to move. However, I was really good at it . . . and right now I just feel like doing something I'm really good at. Life's got me down a bit right now. Thoughts? mnealtx 0 #2 December 1, 2006 It's your life, darlin... you've got to live it as you see fit. If you think you could be satisfied going back to the type of work you did (and hated) before, then I say go for it!!Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. kelel01 1 #3 December 1, 2006 Yeah, I was really just seeing how it looked when I wrote it out. I just need somewhere to live. I think I could handle working there for a year or so, maybe.
Frenchy68 0 #4 December 1, 2006 I'd recommend you stop posting about jobs, and bail out to some exotic place, like Thailand. yardhippie 0 #5 December 1, 2006 hmmm... youd be happy for all of about 5 days. 10 at most. ive had opportunities to go back to a job I once hated here in ATL. With a different company, but same job. i said no. Tell ya what, when we run our errands this evening, and do that damn tree thing, we'll talk about life sucking. Then we'll talk about how you havent got me a price on that GTI yet. Then we'll fall face down in the gutter i long to be part of again. I keep telling myself, it could be worse. Michele 1 #7 December 1, 2006 Kel, why not find something NEW you're good at? Why go backwards? You're a smart, attractive, vibrant woman...no need to look at the past for reassurance. Just look at the future, and see it for what it is; filled with possibility and potential...and then reach for that rather than reach behind for a little bit of ease. "Go confidently in the direction of your dream (i.e. future)", it has been said. And I'd say that is a great saying. Hang in there...I need reassurances too at times. It does get better...but only when you make it so. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

lawrocket 3 #10 December 1, 2006 Do what you love, kelly, and the pay will follow. Do what you hate - even if you are good at it - and you'll look back and say, "It just wasn't worth it." You are doing for work what many people do for ex-relationships - you are forgetting the reason why you left in the first place. My wife is hotter than your wife. za_skydiver 0 #11 December 1, 2006 If you hate the job, is the money worth it? Doesnt matter if you good at it or not. If you hate the job it will make you miserable, but if the money is good, it might make up for it a bit at least...Some dream of flying, i live the dream... kelel01 1 #12 December 1, 2006 I don't know what the money would be like. But I suppose it couldn't hurt to ask.
cjsgrlsx3 0 #13 December 1, 2006 I have debated for two years to go back to UPS. The money was GREAT, not to mention the benefits. But if I actually sit a think..........there is no way. I went back for Christmas help a few years ago and that woke me up!
