anyone her jumped with the "Softer"?

Recommended Posts

Saw an add in Parachutist, just curious as to how it worked. I would welcome pretty much anything that would slow down my Sabre's openings without a significant upswing in malfunction percentages...
think it was www.OpenSofter.com
Experiences anyone?

Forget it.

As best I can tell the website hasn't been updated since the end of 2004. It still promotes the unveiling at the 2005, yes 2005, PIA symposium. The presentation there was a joke. Most people got up and walked out after a few minutes.

He must of bought several years worth of adds at once. That's the only reason I can think of that the ads still run.

It was a slider shaped piece of material that was supposed to hook to your connector links and act like a brake to slow you down during deployment. I don't know that ANYONE ever jumped one besides the inventor.

Consider having an H-mod done on your Sabre. It will make your openings consistently soft with a little improvement in performance and possibly an increase in resale value of your canopy (not to mention that it looks cool :)Safe skies!

If you are refering to an original PD Sabre (not Sabre 2) you might want to start here: http://www.pcprg.com/hardop.htm

Some of the responses you have gotten so far are just astounding. I was just saying to myself a while back that it seems like it it fortunately now common knowledge about how to change a Sabre's opening characteristics for the better, but apparantly not.
