Guest #1 December 5, 2006 This is one of the cleverest and most imaginative uses of a video camera I have ever seen. Stop-motion animation comes full circle on Youtube in Tony vs.Paul (sorry if this is a repost). mh"The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." quade 4 #7 December 6, 2006 QuoteBut Paul, give it credit where it is due. This is really kewl stuff. Oh, no doubt it's a lot of time and effort, but the technique, style and story leave a bit of room for improvement. It's actually a typical problem for people just "discovering" film making to focus on some bit of technology or a particular effect without giving any consideration to the other elements. Search YouTube for "light saber fight" and you'll see literally dozens and dozens of them, all with varying levels of success at re-creating an effect painstakingly done by hand in 1977, but only 1 or 2 with any real story at all. Of course, this isn't just an issue among amature film makers, but also extends all the way up the chain to the top people in the industry that become enamored with a particular gag and then completely forget what is at the core of film to begin with; telling a story. But I digress. Yes the film in the original post in this thread is a nice little film school project and I'm sure they learn quite a bit doing it.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
