Twoply 0 #1 December 4, 2006 A friend of mine shared some barbecue pulled pork with us this weekend made with Montgomery Inn sauce. Fantastic for a kinda sweeter sauce. What are some of your favorites?

Rebecca 0 #3 December 4, 2006 Ask the resident expert, Texas Mike. He's the one running around here screaming "HEY ASSHOLE!" you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

livendive 8 #6 December 4, 2006 Stubb's is the best I've found in stores around here (spicy is good, original is ok, and the smokey mesquite kinda sucks). I do keep meaning to order some from Pop though...despite his web page. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

Well I was inspired by an episode of "Road Taste" on the Foon Network and developed a killer root beer sauce/glaze/marinade that is terrific with pulled pork (and isn't too dang bad on ribs or chicken, either). Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
narcimund 0 #8 December 4, 2006 QuoteI do keep meaning to order some from Pop though...despite his web page. Just so you know, Pop's "Texas Mike" sauce is sugary -- VERY syrupy. I liken it to a cross between bbq sauce and a dessert. I've never tasted a sweeter commercial sauce. Some people probably like it that way but others won't. jdthomas 0 #9 December 5, 2006 Kansas city is famous for BBQ and of all the BBQ resturants around here I really like KC Masterpiece over the others. Joewww.greenboxphotography.com

narcimund 0 #12 December 5, 2006 QuoteTexas Mikes Bar-B-Que Sauce. It's made by the guy who goes by the handle pop Holy shit. I hadn't seen the website. It reads like a get-rich-quick scheme! And the homepage images come to over 6 megabytes*! Holy shit again! Note to Mike: You're a great guy but that website is atrocious. * That's over 6 minute load-time at modem speeds... and 120 TIMES the standard accepted maximum for typical web pages. P.S. It's too wordy. WAY WAY WAY too wordy. P.P.S. The kind of people who get worked up by this kind of blinding blizzard of bullshit don't have $9.97 to spare -- or credit cards. The ultra-hard sell might work for trailer trash pyramid schemes, but not for food. P.P.P.S. The character encoding is messed up.
