lawrocket 3 #1 December 7, 2006 I've got Vincent Guaraldi's "Charlie Brown Christmas" album on our phones right now. It's a wonderful Christmas album. What are some other good ones for me to look at acquiring? My wife is hotter than your wife.
NWFlyer 2 #2 December 7, 2006 I was just looking through my collection the other day. Some of my favorites are: Making Spirits Bright (Dean Martin) You Sleigh Me (because everyone, and I mean everyone, must have a version of "Merry Christmas from the Family" in their collection; this one has Jill Sobule's cover of it). Ultra Lounge Christmas Cocktails (I have parts 1 & 2 and I just noticed there's a third one out that I must acquire). And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
murrays 0 #3 December 7, 2006 I bought Sarah Maclachlan's "Wintersong" for my wife and have to admit that I think it is pretty good.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

ImGunnaJump 0 #10 December 7, 2006 Just to mix it up from the Burl Ives/Frank Sinatra stuff, I like A Very Special Christmas, vol. I (I think it's # 1??). It has Bruce Springstein's Santa Claus is Comin' To Town, ect. - it's a fun way to break up the traditional stuff. My favorite song on there is Whitney Houston's Do You Hear What I Hear. Her voice is so beautiful and powerful on that...just amazing, it gives me goosebumps."...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." skydiver30960 0 #13 December 7, 2006 A Christmas Together with John Denver and the Muppets. It's hokey, it's dated, it's pitched to folks about six years old; but it's the music of Christmas since I was knee-high to a grasshopper and that's the way it'll always be. Muenkel 0 #14 December 7, 2006 QuoteMy favorite song on there is Whitney Houston's Do You Hear What I Hear. This recording is one of my all time favorite Christmas songs. You have good taste. And Jerry, I also have the Charlie Brown Christmas CD. I can even do the dances that go along with that music. Well, thanks! She just has the greatest voice...I'm hoping she really can get it all together again this year. BillyVance 35 #18 December 7, 2006 QuoteDon't have a favourite album but as far as my favourite Christmas song goes, it's definitely Little Drummer Boy by David Bowie and Bing Crosby. LOVE their version of it. 'Shell I remember seeing the video they made for that song. It's been a favorite song of mine since I was a kid, although I didn't know the words. I think Perry Como has done a nice job singing it too. Now, I can't fucking stand "Jingle Bells". It drives me nuts...
