PhreeZone 20 #1 December 6, 2006 I hate to admit it, but Photosynth is just cool. It blows away any other app like it that I've seen. Photosynth takes a large collection of photos of a place or an object, analyzes them for similarities, and displays the photos in a reconstructed three-dimensional space, showing you how each one relates to the next. In these collections, you can access gigabytes of photos in seconds, view a scene from nearly any angle, find similar photos with a single click, and zoom in to make the smallest detail as big as your monitor. This is Photosynth... Check out the video here that shows it in use. http://www.creativecow.net/redirects/photosynth_preview.htmlYesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Slappie 9 #2 December 6, 2006 Microsoft didn't create that. They bought the software and rebranded it MS. actually I don't know if they did or not and it's really a very cool app. Just felt like bashing M$. aardvarkeater 0 #3 December 6, 2006 I'd be willing to bet that they did buy the technology from someone. That's their standard operating procedure. Buy a slightly mature technology, add a few new tweaks, and rebrand it MS. Then on v2 they'll start improving the underlaying groundwork some more while only slightly improving the interface. Finally on v3 they'll have actually made something worth buying and that is when it will become widely sold. A few examples of this pattern include, windows, office, media center, the ms mouse, and internet explorer.Muff Brother #4026 Loco Zapatos Rodriguez SCR #14793
