LaDonna Needs Your Prayers/Vibes

LaDonna, a poster here (although she hasn't posted in a while), needs your prayers/vibes/love.

Her brother is very, very sick, and they are not sure he will make it. She is flying from San Diego to MN as I write this, to be with him before he passes if at all possible. He has a very bad infection, his heat has stopped at least once, and it will be touch and go for a while. She doesn't even have a coat - and it's about 10 degrees back there right now. That's how fast all of this has gone down...

Anyway, in this season of love and laughter, if you can spare a moment and remember LaDonna in a prayer, or send a vibe, or think a good thought, I am sure she'd appreciate it a great deal.

It's not the best, but he's still hanging in there.

The infection is pretty bad; he's on all sorts of heavy duty antibiotics and doing as well as can be expected when one has a systemic infection like that. However, he starts chemo today - Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and they think it's stage 4 (still determining that when I spoke with LaDonna this morning). They have given him a less than cheery outlook, and that's hard to take on everyone's part.

LaDonna is handling this as well as can be expected - better than I would, I think. But she still needs your love/prayers/vibes...this is going to be a long, rough road no matter what the outcome. It's been a really really really rough year and a half for her and now this...and she's in MN without a coat.

Oh no, that's terrible news. I'd been thinking of Ladonna quite a bit for the last month, and especially for the last few days. I'm just glad that she is doing so well with all of this.

My prayers, vibes and tons of my love to Ladonna and to her family. Ladonna is such a special, beautiful and strong person, especially this last year or two, so I know that she will hang in there. My best wishes to all, and thanks for posting this, Michele.

Dang. Thanks for the update. Lots of prayers for LaDonna. Just remember, it will all be ok in the end, if it isn't ok, it isn't the end.

That is really a tough one. I will continue to pray fervently. Please tell LaDonna she's got lots of prayers heading her way.

Why does she not have a coat? It's bitterly cold in MN right now.
